So, season 4 is done. Probably the most straightforward season finale of the show, and yet still as shocking and question-filled as ever. I am eager for season five, but not desperate, and that is kinda nice. Spoiler-filled reactions after the break...
So, one would presume that "Bentham" ended up moving the island himself, and that's why he's not on it. Presumably out of some kind of self-sacrifice to help with all the bad shit apparently going down since the Six left. I can't believe he killed himself... although I suppose it is possibly part of his plan after talking to all of the Six, considering what Ben said about never being able to come back. That said, I'm guessing that particular "never" is far from absolute. It is also very likely that Ben is completely full of shit... which he always is, even though it always seems like he's finally being honest about something. I have no idea how they keep pulling that off, and why it doesn't drive me nuts.
Speaking of driving me nuts... it was so obscenely obvious that Ben was in the coffin that I knew it couldn't actually be Ben in the coffin... and yet they still got me. After 4 seasons, I should know better.
Seems like the freighter peeps will be staying around, which is nice. Charlotte, at least, has some tantalizing backstory to tell. What happened to Faraday, though? Did they get sucked along or stranded? You'd think the chopper would have seen them, if they were still there. If there was one frustrating ambiguity left unresolved, that's it... if only because Faraday is one of my favorites.
Much love, all in all. I think it may be time to go back and re-watch the show from the beginning... if only to refresh my memory for discussions with those of my friends just now getting on the wagon.
... after we finish The Wire, that is. Up to season three now, and Stringer has got to get got, naw'msayin?
Lost frightens and confuses me...
I should probably sit down one of these days with the season sets in hand and just watch them all.
I'm just scared my head will explode.

It is done. I am now on the "bandwagon". Having just watched the entire shebang, over the course of 4 months, I still have to ask Amy regularly for, "WTF was that about... Oh, yeeeeeaaaahhh..." kind of moments.
So, refresh yourself, toss your ideas our way, and we can now have very illuminating conversations regarding the past, present, and future... (ha,ha)
